Challenges

In the food industry – beverage production – technological steam is used as the main form of energy to carry out the production process. Steam is prepared in steam boilers, and some of it in the form of condensate is returning into the process. The steam production which takes place in the base load during the entire year has the potential to reduce energy costs.

Solution

We supplied and installed a CHP plant, produced by 2G Energy, 2 x 550 kW, for the customer and investor Istrabenz Plini that supplies heat and electric energy to the end customer Fructal, using the ESCO (Energy Service Contracting) model of energy contracting. Together with a steam generator, the plant forms a system producing heat, electric energy and technological steam. During its operation, the plant reaches 98% annual efficiency, and that is the consequence of adequate regular maintenance, which we perform for the customer on the basis of a long-term maintenance contract.

Year of implementation: 2013
